Fetus Run/Survival of the Fetus dev.

So here is Nathan Sanders from Impulse Game Studios (on the right), the guy who still owes me money and does not responds to messages. While I do have things to say on how badly he handled the project (pissing his pants when some unknown girl told him the game is ‘controversial’ cause ‘abortion ‘ and things related to giving birth.), I still have fond memories on how the concept was developed further after the disastrous start with Estonian devs (will never work with any of them again). Nate was happy to start working when we didnt have any budget as he trusted the idea. I also had little to no experience in how games were made, but this was always meant to be a learning curve, so even while all of the game demo was done online, me being in Estonia and him in US, I still learned a lot.

Nate was a solo dev at the time, and he was trying to ride the FNAF train by making that trashy Slaughter me Street series, hoping some youtuber would play his games. I did not care about any of his previous games when I started working with him, because anyone was better than working with the Estonian devs. Little did I know that his former partner might have been right when he was suing Nate for some stuff /beef they had while working on Slaughter me street games. Nate turned out to be very unstable that his parents were kicking him out eventually after we parted ways.

I would say this was my starter pack project, as both Nate and I did not really know what we were doing at the time. I was stupid to give him the rights to the fetus game, as it now belongs to his company. But at least I hold the director rights to this day, so even if he does start working on the game at some point, I would have to be the director of it. Nate wanted to later sell me the IP for a few 10k$…Also, I remember seeing some tweet about him going to some stream to trash talk about me. Still have yet to see it.

Oh and the guy on the left is Nate’s buddy, not related to the project at all. We were just all attending the Pax 2017 event.

Everybody wants to be famous on Social Media

But most will fail.

Until someone goes viral, and the rest of the competitors find out in 24 hours. The problem is that you compete in a small league, or even big one. You compete with the 7+ Billion people.

And that means a lot of sour eyes who did not get the prize. This psychological hijacking of our life means that everyone is always hustling and looking for that golden chance to make it big and become a celebrity overnight. Even those who have quit the race, are prepared to boost or belittle other competitors, because each voice contributes to the status of most influencers.

Split Social – Online World

In the Online World, player can either walk or use one of several transport methods to explore the area. As long you have electricity to keep the device working, and internet access of course.

But be careful, as there is a very dangerous group called Anti-Hate Speech, or AHS. Whatever you say online can be recorded and used against you. And the members of AHS don’t play games. Censorship is their weapon, and sometimes even worse.

Why Split Social?

Since around 2010 Social Media has single handedly managed to fracture the society as never before in human history. The disruption is so severe we are seeing record high suicide, depression and mental health issues. But because Sillicon Valley will never stop the monster they have created, I think making a game about it would be perhaps something to show what Big Tech has done to every single person who has ever created an account in their casino empire. It is time to seriously talk about it.

Battle systems of Split Social

The first battle idea was to use the turn-based combat. So you touch someone or they initiate the contact, the battle screen pops up. Very classic Japanese RPG style. I played Pokemon a lot in my teens, so this system makes perfect sense. BUT unlike many turn-based games, here you have fight using timing based commands, like in Mario and Luigi RPGs/Paper Mario. Which means you cannot do same damage each time you attack, but each hit is counted based on the performance of the move. It is very simple sequence of directional arrows to press at right time, each is displayed like in rhythm games. Though this is only during the player’s turn, because as soon as its the opponents turn, the condition is reversed, and you have to either mirror the arrow marks or hit them in reverse, so if it’s left you see from the enemy, you hit right. There are many types of situations, all based on the opponent and player’s skills.

Also, in the real world battle the turn changes perspective of the characters, so each turn it’s a fresh start.

A lot has changed since the battle idea was introduced in 2021.

Of course this is only the real world battle of the game. The online world is very different, and so the battle will be explained later 🙂

Split Social world art

Here is original art made by one artist back in 2021/2022. We ended up changing everything since then.

Here is the final art

This is player’s house, and it will change as there is an age system, that splits the game in various eras, such as childhood, teen and adult eras.

So you can see the different ways the player can explore the world. In the real world, there is more of the physical danger, and in the online one its more of the psychological danger. The bars in top left corner represent the health of body and mind.

The protagonist development since 2021

I always wanted to have a choice between the 3 races/2 genders from start of the game, so like in Pokemon games. As time went on, we did not focus on everyone equally, due to time constraints. So the main playable type for the demo is going to be White Male.

These are the young adult versions of the game protagonists. Notice the bright noses on all of them, the lore is going to be kept secret for now, but you will see it in the demo.

Split Social

The game I and many people have been making since 2021. I will use this site for all the updates until we get an official site, since the one we had is now gone, because the guy who was running it failed to pay for the domain name, so I cant access it anymore. And the guy is just vanished too, like no sign of him or any way to contact him anymore. His Discord is banned and nobody knows what he is doing…or if he is still alive in Mexican jungle he lived in.

This is the site we used to have for the game. So sad to see it erased/down. I dont know anything about running sites, so if I do find those keys that this guy left before he vanished maybe we can revive it.
